Larose Forest is home to some fast and flowing single track purpose – built by The United Counties of Prescott and Russell for mountain biking and winter biking. The area is shared by multiple user groups including skiers, dog sledding and horse back riding. The trails are very beginner friendly and have optional steeper sections if you are adventurous.

There is a fee to access these trails: The Ottawa Mountain Bike Association (OMBA) maintains several kilometres of marked single-track trails for mountain bikes in the Larose Forest. OMBA membership is required to use the trails for mountain bike and fat bike purposes; however, these trails remain open for hiking. During the winter months, the trails are exclusively reserved for fat bikes and snowshoes. Motorized sports are forbidden on these trails.

Minimum tire width for use on the MTB trails: In order to minimize trail damage and closures of the trail networks we require minimum tire sizes for bikes on the Larose Forest trails. In the summer, minimum tire width is 1.95 inches or 50 millimetres in width. In the winter, only fat bikes and fat bike tires are permitted with a minimum width of 3.7 inches or 95 millimetres in width
