Larose Forest

KM of Trail: 35
Description: Dirt-surfaced, fast and flowy beginner to intermediate trails with little elevation change.
Fees: OMBA membership ($30/year individual) is required to ride these trails, Day Passes are also available for non-members.
Best For: Beginners, families, small children, and groomed winter riding.
Winter Use: Mechanically groomed trails starting from the P1 parking lot. Other trails are shared use and we are dependent on snoeshoers to compact those trails enough to permit riding. Minimum tire size 3.8”. Please note that there are winter trails for dogsleding, XC skiing, and other activities. Please stay on the trails designated for fatbike use.
Rules & Restrictions: For the safety of dogsledders, dogs must be on leash at all times. 1.9” minimum tire width in summer; 3.8” in winter. Some trails are unidirectional and direction is changed periodically; please follow the signs. Please yield and use extreme caution when crossing dogsled trails. Dogsleds are swift and silent and collisions carry high consequences for all involved.
Trail Closures: Trails are completely closed during the spring thaw until about May 15th and occasionally closed due to conditions, logging, events, or other activities. Please check the Larose Forest Facebook page before heading out.
