TO ALL EXISTING MEMBERS OF OMBA:

TAKE NOTICE that OMBA’s 8th Annual General  Meeting will take place on Wednesday,  April 25, 2018 beginning at 7:00pm at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre, located at 102 Greenview  Ave, Ottawa, ON K2B 5Z6, in the Garden Room.

  4. Discussion and Approval of Financial Statements for Year Ended Dec. 31, 2017

  5. Presentation of 2018 Budget

  6. Confirmation of the Director positions

Each existing  OMBA member  present at the meeting has the right to exercise one vote. A member may by means of a written proxy appoint a proxy holder to attend and act in the manner  and to the extent authorized  by the proxy.  A proxy holder must be an OMBA member.   A proxy form is linked  below for this purpose.

Existing OMBA  members are those who registered as members during the 2017 calendar year or prior to March 31 in the 2018 calendar  year. Any non-members wishing to become an OMBA  member may do so by following the application instructions  at OMBA’s website.   Applications  received and approved on or prior to March 31, 2018 shall be entitled  to attend and vote at the annual general meeting.

Any existing  OMBA  member 18 years of age or older of sound mind and who is not an undischarged  bankrupt may run for a director’s position.   Advance notice of a candidate’s intention is appreciated  and should be communicated  by email to president@ottawamba.org in order to facilitate advance  preparation of ballots but it is not strictly required.   Candidates  may indicate their intention at the meeting.   Candidates wishing  to run for a director’s position will  be required to introduce themselves at the meeting and tell the membership  why they want to be a director and what they can contribute  in 1-2 minutes.   Information  regarding the role and responsibilities of directors may be found at:
